Growing old is mandatory.  Growing up is optional.  Everyone grows old but not everyone is growing up.  Every day the clock resets.  See today as another opportunity that life presents to get things done.  In many ways, life improves with age.  Growing old is a privilege we should appreciate more.  Age is just a number.  You're not getting older, you're getting better.  Youth ends when egotism does; maturity begins when one lives for others.  Maturity is the  art of living  in peace with that which cannot be changed, the courage to change that which should be changed, no matter what it takes, and the wisdom to know the difference.  Maturity is not measured by age.  It’s an attitude built by experience.  Our experiences, good and bad, make us who we are.  By overcoming difficulties, we gain strength and maturity.

Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.  You cannot be a winner without maturity and consistency.  Sometimes you have to accept the fact that certain things will never go back to how they used to be.  It may seem like an end until you turn around and find there exists another path that can take you to your destination.  Focus on the step in front of you, not the whole staircase.  One breath at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time.

Hard words hurt your feelings but silence breaks your heart.  Excuses make today easy, but tomorrow hard.  Discipline makes today hard, but tomorrow easy.  You become mature when you become the authority of your own life.

Don't join the crowd, you will get lost.  Dare to be different, and you will be found.  If the grass looks greener on the other side.  Stop staring.  Stop comparing.  Stop complaining.  Start watering the grass you're standing on.
